What E09 means

E09 means a controller-related fault. The controller is the unit that manages power to the motor. The warning does not prove that the controller itself needs replacing.

What to do

  1. Stop riding and turn off the bike. If it is hot after riding, let it cool naturally.
  2. Check the battery level. If charging is needed, let the battery cool first and use its original charger.
  3. With power off, look for visible damaged wires, loose plugs or dirt blocking external cooling areas. Do not open covers or unplug unfamiliar wiring.
  4. Take a photo of E09 and any other codes shown. Tell support whether it happens immediately or only after riding.
  5. If the warning remains or returns, contact support before riding again or buying a controller.

You do not need to measure voltage or resistance. Leave electrical testing and replacement to a qualified repairer following support's instructions.

The controller's stated warranty period is 12 months. Contact support before opening parts or arranging warranty work; see the Warranty Policy.
