FAQ — Maintenance & Service
Quick answers about routine maintenance, service, parts and technical help.
Routine maintenance
What maintenance does an electric bike need?
Check tires, chain or drivetrain, brakes, battery, fasteners, wiring and display before riding. Follow the detailed schedule in Maintenance Schedule.
How often should I service the bike?
Use a pre-ride check every time, clean and lubricate after off-road use, and inspect wear items regularly. A qualified technician should inspect the bike at the intervals listed in the maintenance schedule.
Can I service electrical components myself?
No. Sealed electrical components should only be cleaned externally. Do not open batteries, controllers, motors or sealed displays yourself.
Service and repair
Where can I get technical help?
Start with Troubleshooting or the Technical Guides. If you still need help, email support@cemotoride.com with the model, order number, photos and video.
Can a local bike shop repair the bike?
A qualified local shop may be able to service standard bicycle components. For warranty work or electrical repairs, contact CEMOTO before paying for labour.
Where can I buy parts?
Use Spare Parts & Compatibility to check current store listings and confirm fitment before ordering.
Troubleshooting
The bike will not turn on. What should I check first?
Check battery charge and seating, connectors, fuse and display connection. The full checklist is in Power & Start-Up Faults.
What does an error code mean?
See Display & Error Codes for the code reference and linked repair guides.
Warranty claims
For warranty issues, contact CEMOTO before arranging repair. Claim evidence and process are in Warranty Claims; coverage and exclusions are in the Warranty Policy.
