FAQ — Assembly & Setup
Quick answers about assembly, box contents, first-ride preparation and product registration.
Assembly
Are the bikes assembled when they arrive?
No. D-series dirt bikes arrive about 85% assembled; eBikes arrive about 90% assembled. Typical remaining parts include the front wheel, handlebars, pedals or footpegs, and seat post.
How long does assembly take?
Allow approximately 20–30 minutes for a D-series dirt bike and 30–45 minutes for an eBike, including basic checks.
Can I assemble it myself?
Many customers can, but CEMOTO recommends two people for lifting and a qualified technician if you are not confident. See Unboxing & Assembly.
Is there an assembly video?
Yes. See the Video Tutorials and Technical Guides.
What is included?
The standard carton includes the partially assembled bike, a compatible charger, basic assembly tools/hardware, the owner manual and the original packaging. Exact contents vary by model — see What's in the Box.
You will also want a tire pump with a gauge and appropriate protective gear before riding.
First ride
What should I do before riding?
- Charge the battery as instructed.
- Complete the Pre-Ride Inspection.
- Re-check fasteners after assembly and after the first ride.
- Practice in a safe, controlled open area first.
- Start in the lowest power mode until you are familiar with the bike.
Why will the bike not move after it turns on?
On D-series models, the display can power on while the bike remains in 0 gear. Press + to select a riding gear before using the throttle.
Registration
Do I need to register my product?
Warranty coverage is registered when buying through official or authorized channels. The optional Warranty Registration portal can help verify ownership and speed up support.
