Throttle & Controls

Simple checks for a throttle, light, horn or other control that is not working normally.

Throttle does not respond

  • If the display is off, start with Power & Start-Up Faults.
  • On models with a non-driving gear 0, select the normal riding mode using your model's instructions. On the D02 shown in the start-up tutorial, press + to select gear 1.
  • Turn off the bike. Check that the throttle and both brake levers return freely. Look for a grip or handguard pressing on a control, a cracked housing or a damaged visible cable.
  • If a control sticks, do not ride. Contact support with a photo or short video.
  • Photograph E08 or any other code. Do not open the throttle, change electrical settings or order a replacement before support confirms the next step.

Throttle feels too strong or too weak

Use only the normal riding modes described in your model's instructions. If you need help choosing a mode, ask support. Do not change current limits, voltage settings or several advanced parameters by trial and error.

Headlight is not working, or E13 appears

E13 is a front-light-related warning. With the bike stationary, note whether the light turns on. Turn off the bike before looking for visible cable damage, a loose plug or moisture. If the warning remains, contact support before buying a light. Do not ride where working lights are needed while the light is faulty.

Horn is not working

First check that your model has a horn. The D02 Track and D02 Classic are described as supplied without one; confirm your order's specification if unsure.

For a fitted horn, check the correct button while stationary, then turn off the bike before looking for visible damage around the button, horn or cable. Contact support if it still does not work. Do not connect it directly to another power supply or take apart the switch.

Cruise or walking assistance behaves unexpectedly

These features and buttons vary by model. Use only the controls described in your own model's instructions. Do not enable a feature by changing an unfamiliar parameter. If powered movement does not stop normally, stop using the bike and contact support.

Brake lever feels wrong, or E02 appears

Stop riding if braking is weak or a lever sticks. E02 is a brake-signal warning; it does not confirm that the physical brakes are safe. See Brakes.

What to send support

Send your bike model, order number, a photo of any error code and a short description of what happens. You do not need to test electrical parts before asking for help. Repairs and electrical measurements should be handled by a qualified repairer following the correct model instructions.
