The CEMOTO EB66 — sold under the store handle eb66-harley-like-hi-tech-eBike and referred to internally as B66 — is the styling-led model in the CEMOTO eBike range. It combines motorcycle-cruiser aesthetics with an electric drivetrain: fat tires, a substantial battery, and intelligent controls.
Its standout practical feature is the dual-battery option. The EB66 is sold in two variants — a single-battery version and a double-battery version — which is effectively a factory-fitted range extender. This is unusual in the eBike market, where a second battery is normally an aftermarket purchase, and it makes the EB66 the longest-range option in the range when specified with two packs.
CEMOTO describes it as delivering exceptional performance on city streets and beyond, with a fusion of classic aesthetics and modern engineering.

The heaviest eBike in the range. At 41 kg net, the EB66 is 8 kg heavier than the B28A/B28D and 14 kg heavier than the EB40. The dual-battery variant is heavier still. Factor this into storage, lifting and transport decisions — and note that CEMOTO has not published separate weights for the two battery configurations.

Carbon steel frame — care note
The EB66 is the only CEMOTO eBike using a carbon steel frame. That choice supports the cruiser look, but steel is more vulnerable to corrosion than aluminum, particularly where paint is chipped or scratched.
Practical implications:
- Dry and inspect the frame after wet rides, and after any exposure to salt (winter roads, coastal air).
- Touch up paint chips promptly to prevent rust spreading.
- Pay attention to the underside of the frame, welds and the area around fasteners, where water collects.
- Do not use a high-pressure washer. Water forced into seams and bearings causes more harm than the dirt it removes.

Battery and charging
The EB66 uses a 48V 15Ah (≈720 Wh) pack charged by a 54.6V 2A UL-listed charger — the same charger used across the CEMOTO 48V range.
Charging time is not published for the EB66, but by comparison with the B28, which specifies a 6–7 hour charge time on a 48V 13Ah pack with the same 2A charger, expect a similar order of magnitude — likely 7–8 hours per pack from empty. Charging two packs doubles the task unless you have two chargers.
Manual guidance on battery handling:
- Recharge before your first ride and after any long-distance operation.
- Use only the battery supplied with, or recommended for, the bike.
- Use only the supplied charger. If it fails, replace it with the recommended charger — not a generic substitute.
- For safety, cut the power supply when the bike is not in use.
- Battery lifespan averages 1 to 2 years depending on usage and conditions. Plan for replacement.
- Never leave a battery charging unattended for long periods, and charge on a non-flammable surface away from anything combustible.

Range and performance notes
Published figures are manufacturer-stated maximums under controlled test conditions (typically a 70 kg rider, 25 °C and 20 km/h constant speed). CEMOTO does not publish a specific range figure for the EB66, so range must be estimated from energy content and compared against models with published figures.

The EB66 is heavy (41 kg) with fat tires and a low, wide stance. All three factors consume energy, so expect efficiency below that of a lighter, narrower-tired bike carrying the same charge. Use pedal assistance on climbs and into wind to conserve energy.

Safety and legal notes
- Wear an approved helmet and observe all road rules for the area where you ride.
- Confirm your local eBike rules. A 750W motor with high energy capacity may sit above local eBike definitions — in some jurisdictions, higher-power, throttle-operated bikes are classified differently from pedal-assist eBikes, with consequences for licensing, insurance and where you may ride. - eBikes are single-rider vehicles. Never carry a passenger, regardless of the cruiser styling and apparent seating room.
- Intended terrain: on-road and improved trail. Do not ride rough trails — damage may occur.
- Do not ride through deep water, and avoid prolonged riding in rain. The steel frame and the electrical system both warrant particular care here.
- Chain tension should be about 15 mm.
- Braking distance increases in bad weather, and this is a heavy bike — allow generous stopping distance.
- Mind the weight. 41 kg is difficult to lift safely. Use proper technique and consider a second person for loading into vehicles.
