Riding a fat-tire bike

Fat tires change how a bike behaves, and it is worth understanding before you ride:

Range is published as 40–80 miles — a deliberately wide band, because fat-tire efficiency depends heavily on tire pressure, terrain, rider weight and how much you pedal. Published figures are manufacturer-stated maximums under controlled test conditions (typically a 70 kg rider, 25 °C and 20 km/h constant speed).
