Resetting the CEMOTO Controller to Factory Settings

The FarDriver dongle procedure — and the cases where a reset is the wrong answer.

Steps
Locate the controller's programming connector — usually under the side panel or seat area.
Plug in the dongle and power the bike on.
Pair the dongle with the FarDriver app.
Read the current parameters first and save or photograph them. A factory reset discards every value you have set, including any that were correct for your wheel size or voltage.
Issue the factory reset from the app.
Re-verify the critical parameters after the reset — particularly P03 (voltage), P06 (wheel diameter), P07 (magnets), P13 (magnet disk) and P15 (undervoltage). A generic factory profile will not necessarily match your bike.
Power cycle and confirm the bike behaves normally at low speed.
When a reset is the wrong answer
A factory reset is not a diagnostic tool. Do not use it as a first response to an error code.
