Spare Parts & Compatibility

The genuine CEMOTO parts catalog, and how to confirm a part fits your model.

Where parts ship from: CEMOTO ships original parts directly from its global manufacturing center, using expedited air shipping whenever available. Delivery timing depends on destination and stock status.

Warranty note: wear-and-tear components are excluded from warranty and are charged at cost price. Manufacturing defects in covered components are handled under the Warranty Policy.

Before ordering: confirm compatibility

Getting the wrong part is the most common parts-ordering problem. Work through this list before you buy:

  1. Identify your exact model. D02 Classic, D02 Track, D03 Pro and D03 Beast use different components despite sharing a family name. Several CEMOTO parts are listed as "D-Series" and fit across the family; others are D03-specific.
  2. Check the part description carefully. Parts described as "D-Series" generally fit all D-series models. Parts described as "D03" may be D03-specific — confirm before ordering.
  3. Note the wheel size difference. The compact platform (D02 Classic, D03 Pro) runs 14"/12" wheels; the full-size platform (D02 Track, D03 Beast) runs 17"/14". Tires, inner tubes, wheels and brake components can differ.
  4. Note the voltage difference. 48V models and 72V models use different batteries, chargers and controllers. A 48V charger will not charge a 72V battery.
  5. Ask support if unsure. Email support@cemotoride.com with your model and the part you need.

Wear parts: what to expect

These are not covered by warranty and are supplied at cost:

Keeping a small stock of wear parts on hand avoids downtime. A sensible spares kit:

Accessory compatibility

Many CEMOTO models come pre-equipped with mounting points for standard accessories such as rear racks, fenders (mudguards) and water bottle cages. Check the specific product description or photos for details on included mounts. Most bikes are compatible with common third-party accessories.

Warning: NEVER modify the electric bike with unapproved accessories. Unapproved accessories can compromise safety and void the warranty.

The D-series uses a programmable FarDriver controller. With the FarDriver Programmable Bluetooth Dongle, you can:

These are maximums, not guarantees — and they are not achievable simultaneously with top speed.

Higher watt-hours means more range potential, but consumption varies enormously with how the bike is ridden.

Estimating your range: a planning method

Rather than a precise formula, use a multiplier method. Start from the published maximum and apply realistic adjustments.

Step 1 — Start with the published maximum

Use the figure for your model. This assumes a 70 kg rider, 25 °C, and 20 km/h on flat ground.

Step 2 — Apply your factors

Step 3 — Temperature correction

For a cold-weather estimate, multiply by the available-capacity figure:

Step 4 — Build in a reserve

Plan to return with at least 30 % charge remaining. This:

Worked example

Ride: CEMOTO D03 Pro on a hilly trail in 10 °C weather, 85 kg rider with a 5 kg pack.

So a rider planning this trip should treat roughly 11–12 miles as the usable radius — significantly less than the headline 34 miles. This is normal, and it is why the simulator and this method exist.

Practical range-maximization tips

From the owner manual and general practice:

  1. Ride at medium speed. The manual explicitly recommends driving at medium speed. Speed is by far the biggest variable.
  2. Avoid frequent braking, starting or heavy loading.
  3. Reduce frequent uphill riding and riding against the wind where routes allow.
  4. Maintain correct tire pressure. Low pressure increases resistance and reduces range.
  5. Use pedal assistance on eBikes when climbing or in windy conditions to save energy and extend battery life.
  6. Use a lower power mode for range-focused rides.
  7. Charge before the ride, not during — a full pack delivers better performance.

When range drops suddenly

A sudden drop is different from gradual seasonal or age-related decline. Check:

  1. Tire pressure — the most common and cheapest cause
  2. Brake drag — lift the wheel and spin it; it should rotate freely
  3. Battery charge acceptance — is it actually reaching full charge?
  4. Parameter accuracy — incorrect P06 (wheel diameter) or P07 (speed magnets) makes the odometer under-count, appearing as a range loss
  5. Ambient temperature — compare against the table above

Riding Laws & Compliance

⚠ This is general guidance, not legal advice. Riding laws for electric dirt bikes and eBikes vary significantly by country, state, province and municipality, and they change. It is the rider's responsibility to confirm the requirements that apply where you ride before riding. CEMOTO's owner manual states this explicitly: "It is your responsibility to be aware of and comply with the laws of your location as to the specific locations where it can be used."

D-Series electric dirt bikes: off-road vehicles

CEMOTO D-series electric dirt bikes — D02 Classic, D02 Track, D03 Pro and D03 Beast — are off-road vehicles intended for use on private land and closed tracks. They are not marketed as street-legal vehicles, and no street kit is included.

Classification

Electric off-road motorcycles are typically classified separately from eBikes. Classification usually depends on:

A 6000W peak machine capable of 53 mph will not be treated as a bicycle anywhere. Even the 3000W models exceed the power and speed thresholds applied to pedal-assist eBikes in most jurisdictions.

Check your local classification rules — and expect that a vehicle exceeding eBike power/speed limits requires a license, registration, insurance and a helmet meeting motorcycle standards.

eBikes: designed for road and trail

CEMOTO eBikes — commuter, mountain, fat-tire and folding models — are designed for on-road and improved-trail use. Some models are explicitly positioned as street legal: for example, the CEMOTO EB40 is described as 20 mph, Class 2 Street Legal.

Where can I ride an electric bike? An electric bike is legally treated the same as a normal bike in many jurisdictions. You can ride an electric assisted bike anywhere you can ride your regular bike — subject to local law.

Does it need registration or plating? Some jurisdictions allow off-road vehicles to be registered for limited public-road use

Does it need a title? Some jurisdictions issue titles for off-road vehicles; verify what documents you will receive
Is there an age restriction? Many jurisdictions set minimum ages for off-road vehicle operation
Do I need a license? Often required for off-road vehicles above a certain power

Beyond legality, CEMOTO's owner manual sets out responsible-riding requirements:

The correct helmet should be comfortable for the rider, of light weight, have good ventilation for the head, fit snugly, and cover the forehead.

Where to ride: a practical checklist

Before riding anywhere, confirm:

  1. Who owns the land? Get permission if it is private.
  2. Is off-road vehicle use permitted here? Not all trails allow motorized vehicles.
  3. Is my vehicle's class/power permitted? Some areas restrict by power or by noise.
  4. Is there an age limit? If a young rider is involved.
  5. Do I need registration, plating or insurance? For any public-road component.
  6. Are there seasonal closures? Many trail systems close for wet seasons or fire risk.
  7. Is there a local riding club or OHV association? They usually know the current rules and legitimate riding areas — and often operate permitted areas.
